Five, technical requirements

1. The chemical composition of titanium and titanium alloy bars should meet the requirements of GB/T 3620.1. When repeated inspections are required, the allowable deviation of the chemical composition should meet the requirements of GB/T 3620.2.

2. The diameter or side length of the hot processed bar and its allowable deviation should meet the requirements of Table 1.

3. After hot processing, after turning (polishing) the bar and cold rolling, the allowable deviation of the diameter of the cold drawn bar shall meet the requirements of Table 2.

4. The out-of-roundness of the turned (polished) bar after hot working should not be more than half of its dimensional tolerance.

5. The indefinite length of the bar in the processed state is 300-6000mm, and the indefinite length of the bar in the annealed state is 300-2000mm, and the fixed or double length should be within the range of indefinite length. The allowable deviation of the fixed length is +20mm ; The length of the double ruler shall also be included in the cut amount of the bar, and the amount of each cut is 5mm. The fixed length or the length of the double rule shall be indicated in the contract.

Six, the performance and use of titanium alloy rods

As a stable metal, titanium alloy rod has the characteristics of high hardness, low density and good corrosion resistance. It is precisely because of these excellent properties of titanium that we will fuse titanium and other metals to make titanium alloy rods. Not only has the original characteristics of titanium, but also some new characteristics in it.

Titanium alloy rods have the functions of high strength, low density, good mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, and high stability. However, the more stable the metal, the more difficult it is to process. Therefore, the process of producing titanium alloy rods is more complicated and costly. Therefore, the earliest titanium alloy rods were mainly used in aircraft engine parts, as well as rockets, missile flight parts, etc. In addition, the main application areas of titanium alloy rods were military, scientific research, and were made into high-strength, corrosion-resistant parts. With the continuous development of science and technology, the cost of titanium alloy rods has been reduced a lot. It can be used in industry, construction and civil applications, such as titanium wheel bolts and nuts processed from titanium alloy rods, and daily bolts and nuts. Also because of its strong anti-corrosion performance, it is more and more recognized. As the high-quality properties of titanium alloy rods are generally recognized by people, and the level of production technology is increasing, the use of titanium rod products will become more and more extensive in the future.
